The "Lil" hovercraft!

The little hover pictured in the next few pages is a home brew, in other words I didn't grow the crops that make up the ale, but I did mix them up in my own way!!.

"Lil" story

The idea here was to create a small single fan  single place craft with enough payload for a full size adult, could be used as a trainer and would easily fit in the back of my small truck. The hull material is 1/8 plywood over a pine and spruce frame with epoxy and fiberglass reinforced seems. We chose a Briggs 8hp vertical shaft eng and a 26/18 four blade wood/epoxy fan. Seemed like the place to start since I  had the forms for the duct from the T4 already and  I figured I could install this as a unit in the T4  later.   "Ah sweet justification"! The prop plans, mounting hub, bushing and bag skirt material were purchased from Universal Hovercraft, everything else I bought from local lumber and hardware stores. People see me fly by and say things like!

She gets her fleet paint job! sorry no early construction pics.
