Sometimes you need to stop and just take in the veiw!
This was as far as we made it up river, yes we went up river! zigging and zagging through the current from one slower moving area to the next. There were to many fishermen up ahead to go any farther today. Being late October it is now time to stow away the dories until next year. Allthough we made a full season without a mishap, two months ago a capsize might have been amusing, now that it is winter it could be life threatening!

Dave side slipping through the tail end of a small shoot at the tip of the island, this is an awesome place to fish!

The thing of it is, with any leisure toy you may have in your arsenal the amount of use you get out of it  will generally depend on how much is involved to get it ready to use, and the amount of time it will take you to do it! I can be out fishin in the dory in less than five minutes after the urge hits me,,, and it does every night after dinner!

Nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing!

We came ashore in a nice little calm spot  behind this hover eating log jam to stretch our legs and portage. The current was very very strong in through here.
